Bio:
The band started out in November 2004, at that point the band was called 'The Ninth Day'. There we're only two members, Ben Elliott (Guitar and Danial Frater (Drums) and they didn't have a bassist yet. Ben and Danial had already made a few instrumentals. Come February I joined because I always wanted to be in a band so I thought I should give it a shot. I had two choices, play bass, or not be in the band, so I thought I'll try bass. We just used an electric guitar for the bass because I didn't have one. When April came up I got a bass and a couple days later we used it at band practice, and our music sounded alot better than it used to. In May, Ben showed me and Danial this entry form for Star Search 2005. We entered it and we're in the 8-13's heat, so we couldn't go into to competition if we won or not, but when we saw this form we thought we don't even have a song. So Danial gave it a really random name; Blueberry Juice. We changed the name to Turtlewax (and apparently Ben hated this name). Then we came up with a song and it was about wrong turns and stupid mistakes. We played the hell out of the song before the concert. July the 23rd came up, the day oof the comp. We played, and we we're last on the roll, and to our surprise we won the band thing. Pretty sweet we thought. About a month later, Danial left the band. So it was just me and Ben and then we came up with the name Better Late Than Never for the band. Then we got an extra guitarist named Daniel Telford. He didn't really like all the music we liked but we didn't really care at eh time. So we we're without a drummer, until a guy at school said he was a drummer so we took him on and we thought yeah hes cool so he is now our drummer. So now we were a band. We came up with a few more instrumentals and we started playing those, and some Blink covers and Green Day. Later Daniel told us Better Late Than Never was taken so we we're nameless, unless we wanted to get sued. We kicked Daniel Telford out of the band a bit later because he couldn't really turn up to every band practice. But during the holidays we came up with about 10 songs without lyrics and have still to sort about half of them out. Some of them have lyrics and some don't. And now it's March '06 and we're going really good i reckon and we are really striving to share our point of view to the world. And now our name is Cheap Justice.
