Bio:
Our Time is a melodic hardcore punk rock band from the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. They formed in October of 2004 when guitarist, Eric, was challenged to race his bike against a random car, which happened to have Dan, the drummer, within it. Eric had already been writing songs with singer, Lee A, and Dan knew bassist, Colin and guitarist, Jim, previously playing in a band with them before. With Eric and Lee A. being from Jersey, and Jim, Colin, and Dan being from Philly, so you have Our Time’s explanation for claiming both places as home.
Lyrically, many of Our Time’s songs are driven by inspiration from their own past experiences, as well as issues that are important to them. Musically, they have taken influences from bands such as Lifetime, H20, Gorilla Biscuits, Saves the Day, etc. and added their own raw yet melodic edge to it. Our Time is mainly concerned with having fun and hopefully making a difference at the same time.
