In August 2006, KATUMBAL released their first Album entitled
"We Dont Need Sympathy", a title attacking the music industry.
The Album includes the bands debut single Pancit Canton.
In August 2005, KATUMBAL first release their debut EP entitled
"The Pancit Canton Incident", which sold a few copies in the local area of Bacolod and near provinces like Ilo-ilo and Cebu.
About Us:
KATUMBAL is a punk rock band from Bacolod City, Philippines, formed in 1999, by singer/guitarist Elcid Elumba, drummer Artson Elumba and bassist Shadi Kanifati. Since 2002 and after Shadi left the band to join the US Marines, Deaux Magbanua, a punker and very talented musician, took over as the bands main bassist and one of the singer. The band's sound is diverse, utilizing elements of skate punk, grunge, metal, hardcore punk and more. The songs of the band generally address issues such as food, politics, society, and poverty.
