Bio:
So yeah, we are a melodic punk band from the Lake Worth/West Palm Beach Area. Our biggest influences music wise are bands such as NOFX, Lagwagon, Bad Religion, Rancid, and the like. Our songs center around social issues and things that make us laugh and songs about how trendy and awesome we are. We are funny people on occassion. We are also sexy as hell. But whats new? We've already been contacted by promoters to play shows everywhere from Ray's to clubs in Sarasota, Fl. Expect to hear alot from us soon, unless you already have. We are cool. Almost every club now is trying to get away from the generic screamo that plagues most local shows. We are probably the only band with this kind of style in the area, except for maybe 3rd Degree Monotony. I guess that makes us original or something. Hey as we all know, "We're So Fucking Trendy". Promoters and interested bands or lables can message us and we'll respond soon. We are able to play shows as early as early Febuary, due to lineup shifts and the such.
F.A.Q.'s and other stuff you cant live without knowing
Q: Who are you guys?
A: We are Products of Society. We are a punk rock band that has an original style. Shocking huh? We play melodic punk rock in the vein of NOFX, Lagwagon, Rancid, Bad Religion, and Strung Out. We are also very sexy.
Q: Why don't you have music up yet?
A: Many reasons. Joe has some broken bones. Errol is brand new to the band. We had to replace our drummer, and we have two people trying out for the spot. We are too busy doing our makeup and perfecting our "scene" look. We havent gotten the whole lip synching thing down yet. We just suck, etc etc. Don't worry, its coming soon.
Q: When will you have music up?
A: If all goes according to plan, by April at the latest. But, nothing ever goes according to plan, so yeah.
Q: Do you guys play shows?
A: Sure. Contact us and give us the details and such, and we will play. We are probably going to start playing shows in late March/early May. Our booking email is products.ofsociety@y ahoo.com.
Q: How did you guys meet each other?
A: Myspace united Joe and Nicole, Nicole found Errol through her significant other, and the drummer was found by Errol.
Q: Why Don't You guys play screamo?
A: I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Errol and I (Joe) hate screamo and Nicole likes it. There are way too many screamo bands around to really have one that stands out. Plus, Punk is much more fun to play.
Q: What other bands have you guys been in?
A: Joe has been in several horrendous bands with equally horrendous names such as The Advil Monkeys, Adolescent Idols, Narf, The Ninja Destroyers and many other bands that are unspeakable. Nicole was in the defunct after no practice skacore band the West Palm Players as well as Turn Me On, Dead Man. Errol was in a band, but I really dont remember. If you really care, why dont you ask him?
Q: Are You Guys Straight edge?
A: hahahahahhha. Far from it. Errol smokes, but doesnt drink. Nicole drinks occassionally, but has never smoked to the best of my knowlege. Joe used to smoke, drink, and do drugs, but only drinks now on occassion.
Q: Are you guys signed to a record label?
A: (Joe) By proxy, the band is technically signed to the record label I am attempting to start called Kno Kontrol/Invincible. Technically, we are, except that my record label has not released anything yet, and has no immediate plans to release anything. I was almost able to convince the Madd Agents and Agents Under Fire to release a ska split EP, but that fell through due to the lack of funds.
Q: Why do you have a myspace when you have no music and no solidified lineup?
A: Because we are allowed to suck publically.
