Bio:
From Southern California, recorded the Barcode Youth EP in late 2005.
Here's a description/review we got from BRIAN GTA, the owner of Grand Theft Audio Records, and below that a review from Diego Sandrin, lead singer of Ice and the Iced (from Killed By Death..77)
BRIAN GTA: "A handful of bands out there are attempting to pull off the late 1979 to 1981 punk (not hardcore) sound but many of them fail in their efforts and seem insincere as if they are trying too hard to be something they are not.In other words they just have no feel and dont get it.On the other hand this four song recording from Graphic Slander comes off fairly authentic though not derivative of any one band. I definately hear alot of early UK power pop/pop along with early Southern California beach punk and a pinch of 80s French street punk. Here and there it needs some slightly stronger chorus parts and maybe a little more speediness but those are minor complaints. As a first recording effort it sounds far better than most band's second recording. Nicely done. Brian/Grand Theft Audio "
DIEGO SANDRIN, ICE AND THE ICED "Hey man! I am really impressed! I love the Bar Code Youth one a lot, it sounds like the old days for sure! Also Ruined Day is good, but this one gets inside you, very well done...what I got from listening to the demo is that it sounded real and natural and not produced, just anger and good music"
