Seattle's 3 INCH MAX is a collective of 4 revolutionists brought together in a rush of punk intensity, pure melodies, and lucid harmonies. The songs of 3 INCH MAX offer an outlet for the day-in, day-out situations that push you to your limit, your "3 inch max". A 3 INCH MAX live show is about front man Mike McNab deconstructing himself on stage for the fan?s amusement, pouring it all into pouring it out with his emotion charged lyrics, meanwhile drummer johnnyO, bassist Jimmy Shooter, and guitarist Gene Dean. create a unified front of adrenaline fueled rock. Equally inspired by politics and rock gluttony, 3 INCH MAX seeks only to bring their 'avant garde core? punk rock assault to the masses. Get in a fight, break up with your girlfriend and crash your car all on a Sunday ? you'll fit right in.
Formed by singer Mike McNab and bassist Jimmy Shooter in spring of 1999, early versions of the band held only the purpose of writing songs that used the word "fuck" as often as possible. However, as Mike and Jimmy continued to grow as songwriters, they channeled their piss n' vinegar energies towards a more constructive creation. 3IM's debut EP All Grow'd Up and full length CD Rock Star Merit Badge earned them shows with the likes of Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, New Found Glory, Visqueen, Billy Talent, Pennywise, and The Briefs, to name a few.
