At 12.30pm on the 14th of August 2004 the MMC began and almost finished in the same breath. It was that cold winter day that Huck and Geoff, who in an extraordinary coincidence had met for the first time the previous night, arrived at Tone's place to follow up an ad placed at the local music store. The two talked for a few moments dumbstruck by the coincidence. They compared notes on their phone conversations with Jamie, the guy whose number was listed on the ad, but agreed that regardless of the outcome of the meeting they would hook up for a jam.

The two entered Tone's place to a vision that niether will ever forget. Tone and Jamie had been out the night before and the party was still going. Jamie opened the door and a wave of tobacco, weed and beer breath collapsed into the street. Huck would later recall that the door was something out of Narnia Chronicles linking the calm frosty winterworld of an early Canberra Saturday with a a dingy Transylvanian tavern without as much as a shandy to catch up.

The meeting went like a train wreck. Huck and Geoff exchanged phone numbers and left with a story for their grandkids.

A week later Huck's phone rang and a humbled rasped voice apologized for the drunkenness, the threat of non-consensual sodomy and something else that shall never be spoken of again.

The second meeting was more civil, professional and inspiring. In two months the boys pulled together a set of 70s punk covers and three originals. Their first show was at a musos night at a local bar. Days earlier Geoff had informed them that he intended to return to Perth to live. The guys were cool with that and turned their thoughts to what to call the band. Moments before going on all agreed on Huck's suggestion - a name he'd come up with sometime before but completely out of nowhere. When it was written on the board everyone agreed it was a great name. Geoff remarked, "it has many nuances".

Shortly after their first show Lance took over on bass and the band began getting itself on any bill it could.

Anyhow, this shit has gone on too long and this bio has turned into a fucking novelette so heres the rest in short...

Band played had a great time - problems arose - Jamie and Tone left and formed The Bastard Sons of Liberty - Huck and Lance auditioned a lot of cool dudes but kept hiring dicks - each dick stuffed the band around and stopped them playing - last dick leaves and all hope for a dick drought - general despair - Duncan joins (drums) - Danny joins (guitar) - and now the band is back and is fucking awesome !!!
