Bio:
Unemploi!able formed in 2002 after the breakup of local Clash covers band Deny, comprised of Agus Bagus (vox), Dylemma (Bass), and Brian Powell (Vox). Munsta and Kim Wall, friends of the band members, joined the band as guitarists and The Blacklisted (as they were then known) soon started regular practices (without a drummer) around the end 2002. Brian (the founding member of Deny) left the band at the end of 2003 to move to Sydney. After a brief stint of doing nothing at all, the band resumed practice in mid 2004 with Agus Bagus, Munsta and Dylemma, with Kim turning up occasionally and still without a drummer. A few drummers came in and out of practice to help the band rehearse, but it was not till In November 2004 that band found a permanent drummer - Morpis. Despite not having a kit, no transport, and not actually being a drummer, Morpis helped Unemploi!able play their first few gigs. Captain Splinter was recruited on drums in early 2005 for the simple fact that he had drum kit. 2005 has been the year of Unemploi!able after playing countless gigs through Newcastle and other areas. They are becoming for their highly energetic live shows that have been known to include fights between band members and the always present possibility of nudity. Unemploi!able play an original blend of blistering punk-rock and it is combined with elements of ska and hardcore to give them their no-so-unique sound.
