ME FOR RENT
Born in the 1996, the punk hardcore band from Frosinone has kept intact for nine years the same line up, gaining an unusual live experience and a great communication skill. Since their beginning, Me for Rent have started with live performances around Italy with other important bands like Shandon, Thee S.T.P, Ray Daytona & the Goo Goo Bombos, Motorama, Cosmonauti, Julie's Haircut, Bart?k, Prozac +, Linea77, Punkreas, Marsh Mallows, Derozer, Pornoriviste, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Hormonauts, GF93, Vanilla Sky, Forty Winks and many others.
In 2004 NerdSound Records released Me for Rent's debut album Il Manuale del Perfetto Impostore (The Perfect Liar' s Handbook), with fourteen original tracks in Italian language, in American West Coast Style (NoFx, Lagwagon), an unstable balance between PunkRock (Descendents) and Melodic Hardcore. The album is distributed in Italy from GoodFellas and in USA from Interpunk. The cover is created by Jon Burgerman, a famous english graphic artist, author of important advertising campaigns, like Levi's and Kenzo ( www.jonburgerman.com ). The singles Superstizioni (Superstition) and Non ? il nostro show (It' s not our show) are immediately added in many playlists by some radios all over the world (Radio Citt? Aperta - Italy, WJAM Punk Radio - USA; Mahawk - USA; PogoRadio - Germany; GetPunked - Australia; PunkRadio - Brasil; HussieSkunk - USA and many others).
Superstizioni Videoclip, totally made in digital animation, has been playing in different national television networks. In September 2004, the band became testimonial of Minor Industries(www.hello minor.com), Skate Wear of Portland (Oregon) and Fat Wear(www.fatwear.com ), Italian Street, Skate and Snow wear. Considered as one of the most promising italian melodic hardcore bands, Me for Rent start their tour playing all around Italy promoting the album, soon a surprise for the independent italian scene in 2004 with more than 1000 copies sold.
In July 2005, Me for Rent are in the Eastpak Etnika Rock Festival's cast (www.etnikarock.com) , playing with the most important italian punk bands as Punkreas, Los Fastidos and many others. In September 2005 Il Manuale del Perfetto Impostore is reprinted, produced by NerdSound Records, released by Ammonia Records and distributed by EDEl. On 2 September 2005, the band presents their new videoclip Senza Scrupoli (No scruples) on Rock Tv, produced by Real&Virtual (www.realvirtual.it) . This track is realized with the vocal guest of Jim, singer of Marsh Mallows. The new tour starts on 3 september 2005, from the festival Rock in Idro in Milan with great bands as Nofx, Me first and tha Gimme Gimmes, Ska-P, Offspring, The Hives, Millencolin, Pennywise, No Use for a Name, My Chemical Romance, Darkest Hour, Juliette and the licks, Turbonegro, Funeral for a Friend, Toy Dolls and many others.
In January 2006, Me for Rent will be special guest in next Lagwagon Tourdate at Rolling Stone (Milan).
