BAND: Anonamis
Anonamis
Bio:
To trace the early roots of the Hines entity knows as Anonamis you will have to go way back to early Lincoln Junior High years when Sam Wheeler and Sam Tackman who had the idea of trying something new, making music. With no prior knowledge of music, Sam and Sam bought low key instruments and started hacking away in what is known today, as the infamous "Bandshed." Soon local drummer and friend Andy Carslon was recruited to play the skins. The three developed a nice taste for punk rock since they were exposed to the Pennywise album ?Live at the Key Club? The rest is history, as this record opened up the door to a whole new world of music and possibilities, their love of music only grew as they branched out to more and more different musical interests. In hopes of building a steady band foundation the group went through endless changes. Many different lead vocalists and even added a second guitarist, but usually, due to creative differences and/or lack of motivation, all of the bands additions were eventually dropped or quit. The three finally found a vocalist in local friend Chance White; the band continued to grow more and more with their musical talents. Eventually they started experimenting with new ways to make music, with influence from bands such as Refused, Tool, Fugazi and Text. Because they had a few shows under their belt the Anonamis crew looked pretty solid but inside Anonamis was tortured by turmoil with more fights and arguments than actual playing. Anonamis went on what looked to be an indefinite hiatus; the band disbanded for what appeared to be forever. Andy and Lloyd still with the desire to keep making new creative progressive music kept the music alive as a duo, just the bass and drums. They constantly pushed themselves, by playing a brand of music that had never been made before. Experimenting with various musicians the two just couldn?t find what they were looking for, but when founding guitarist Sam Wheeler spoke of the desire to make music again the two gave it a shot. Everything started to come back together and this is the Anonamis we know today.
