Bio:
The idea about the band was borned in autumn 2003 by 3 schoolmates from Ljubljana, Slovenia - Tim (guitar), Nejc (bass)and Marko (drums). It took quite a long time for us to get the right equipment but in August, 2004, we started practising in Marko's bedroom. Since we were greatly inspired by californian pop-punk bands like Blink 182 and Green Day, we started doing cover songs, mostly of Blink 182.
Since of very big sameness and lack of creativity, we broke up with Nejc in February, 2005. The band was probably in the worst time ever and we would probably abandoned the whole thing, if Miha wouldn't join us on second guitar. After that, we again started doing things seriously, the summit was "concert" on our farewell dinner-party in June. The show was pretty good, though we still played cover songs... However, it gave us enough strength to move on.
After the summer break, we continued playing as a trio. I also shouldn't forget to mention that we still didn't have a name. After some not very productive months, Miha's new schoolmate Ziga completed the line-up on bass. That was probably the biggest turning point in our "career". We started doing new, authorial songs. We also redecorated Marko's garage (it's bigger than his bedroom) to get the right place for practising and picked a name, senseless, but still - Blacktop Airlines.
Now we are ready to begin our journey towards immortality. All we need is lots of gigs and of course, lots of friends!!!
