Bio:
Bible Black are a 3 piece punk band from Liverpool, England, or more specific, Garston, Liverpool, in an area which you wouldn't expect to find aspirting musicians. Joel (Bass) and Gibbo (Vocals and Guitar) have been friends for a few years, and Mike (Drummer) and Joel (Bass) likewise, Overall this gives their music more edge as their camaraderie only fuels the music they make. They are inspired by old 80's punk bands such as Black Flag, China White and The Germs, as well as newer punk bands such as Blink 182 and other more mainstream bands. Their main influence though is No Use For A Name, who really show that punk doesn't have to be all 3 chords and shouting.
The three members are:
Simon "Gibbo/Eostre" Gibbons- Lead Guitar and Vocals
Joel "JPEG" Caulfield- Bass
Mike "Drummer Guy" Roberts- Drums
They have been around for a few months now, and practice in a back alley studio which belongs to Mike and Joel's dad. They spend nearly every friday night getting tight and writing new music. Recently, the band has begun recording instrumental tracks using the studio, and they've so far come out good.
They've wrote a few songs. The punk masterpiece, "Get out Of My House" the more mellow-ish song, "Borderline" and the Pink Floyd influenced "Interlude" But also have a few riffs which need making into full songs.
On top of that, they have rehearsed a few covers, mainly from bands like No Use For A Name, Blink 182 and Sum 41. "Stay Together For The Kids" "Life Size Mirror" and "No Brains" are covers which have already been decided upon. So hopefully you'll like them. But they're also thinking of doing other covers, for example, No Use For A Name's punk version of "Fairytale in New York" originally written by the Pogues, and a shortened and sped up version of Iron Butterfly's "In-Da-Gadda-Da-Vid a" which is originally 17 minutes long...
Stil practising, the band are working their way towards gig status, and will soon be ready to work their punk magic.
