Bio:
2005: Dysfunctional Kid started out somewhere in 2004 when I (Nick) played in a punkrock band called Des peration in which I couldn't really do what I wanted to. So, inspired by bands such as LIFETIME, RHYTHM COLLISION, MINOR THREAT, GOOD RIDDANCE, FACE TO FACE, NONE MORE BLACK, JAWBREAKER, JERSEY, LATTERMAN, KID DYNAMITE and more.. I decided to start writing my own stuff. Then after Des peration broke up, I had plenty of time to work on some music and so that's what I did. I was still in touch with an old friend (Patrick/Censored) who was trying to set up his own personal studio at home, and I asked him if it was okay if I recorded some songs, which was okay he said. I was supposed to play all the instruments myself (except for drums because I suck at playing drums). The first few songs we recorded sounded so bad that it didn't even come to recording vocals. A couple of months later I joined the poppunk outfit Don'tFeedBill on second guitar. Then I started writing new songs and wanted to give it another try recording for a first release. And so this is it.. a one man band, a couple of lousy songs and truly a stupid name; DYSFUNCTIONAL KID..
2006: For 4 months I've been writing and recording stuff and finally I managed to pick 4 songs to put an EP together (I've been recording 16 songs but 12 of them were not good enough to go on a record). OUT NOW!
2008: Dysfunctional Kid's members grew from just 1 to 3 people lending their hands to this project making this a bit of a band. Next to myself (Nick), my long time friend Marlon picked up the bass as he played in my former 2 bands Des-peration and Don'tFeedBill, also Levi from The Eurydice Tragedy will be performing on drums on the upcoming record. New songs are being written and going to be recorded this summer! Expect previews!
