Bio:
Monkey Business (also known as NyBakta Bullar until just recently) is a Swedish band that mixes punk with rock, pop, ska, jazz, funk, the Russian national anthem, metal, hardcore and a lot of different things. In the small, Swedish town of Bollebygd they're considered to be celebrities. They are mainly known for two things. First of all, that they kick ass live, they jump around like crazy, playing really fast and get everyone in the crowd dancy and happy with their awesome songs. And secondly, all their drumers. Jimmy is the 9:th drumer in 4,5 years. So here is the story of Monkey Business, Robert (guitar, vocals) and Mikael (bass) started a punk band when they were in 8:th grade together with drumer Tim. They mostly played covers of Blink 182 and Green Day but they had a few, sucky, song they made them self. After a while Tim left and was replaced by a drum machine, then Aron and a while later Simon played drums and Aron went over to play the guitar. As time went by they got better and better and less Blink 182:ish. Drumers came and went until one they when there were no drumers left. Monkey Business got desperate. "Hey, I saw this chick druming on a table, she seemed pretty good, let's ask her" Aron said one day. They asked her and she was great. Her name was Angelina and she didn't only play drums but also sang back up vocals. The mix of male and female vocals suited the band like a glove. But of course Angelina left the band after a while and was replaced by the corrent drumer Jimmy. But the banded wanted a female back up singer and even though Jimmy was girly he wasn't good enough. So the bands good friend Sara joined on as sing doo-wop and tambourine player. And that is the band as we know them today. Over the years they have also recorded two demos, the first one in May 2004, an 11 track demo called Yeah! And the second in August 2005 with 7 tracks called Knark, Horor och Jazz (Drugs, Whores and Jazz in English). And that's all.
