About the Organization:
Turkeyneck records is an Independant Australian record label focusing on Garage, Psych, Punk and Rock and Roll releases by some of Australia’s most original and also fucked up bands as well as anally retentive reissues of a cultural terrorist nature.
With a busy 6 months behind us. Now we come into the new year. last half 07 saw turkeyneck release debut albums from Melbourne’s girl led punknroll outfit Crackwhore and Brisbanes finest proto punk exponants the Busymen. Also a well received re-issue of the Pineapples from the Dawn of Time's Shocker which came back just in time to be launched the Pig City show in July.
The new year has some interestingly diverse releases coming up over the next few months. First cab off the rank is Screaming Stevie and the Credit union debut then late march The Band from Liberty Valance re-issue Cd followed by Local experimental ensemble Chucknee fourth album and finally an 18 track Blowhard best of with a working title of "Dog Lipstick" the Blowhard travel companion

TN10. THE BAND WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE "Outlaw Death Lager Drinkers from Hell" CD
Turkeyneck is pleased as punch to be rereleasing this Melbourne Country Punk gem. Originally released on Virgin? in 1987 The Band who Shot features Fred Negro and Phil Miles of I Spit on Your Gravy and members of the Corpsegrinders. According to Fred this masterwork sold in the dozens. The masters were lost long ago so we have painstakingly brought it up to scratch off several of the records. Cover Art by Fred Negro
TN09. Screamin’ Stevie and the Credit Union “Four Flights Up” CD
This is a reasonably new combo kicking around the local brisbane dives. Featuring Screamin Stevie Zillman on Singin, Organ and Harmonica. Formally from Bris/Melb garage stalwarts the HEKAWIS. Screamin Stevie has assembled one tight little garage rock combo behind him with two guitarists bass and drums. This album covers everything from Women to Acid and all the paranoia's associated with the two. This is organ drivin' madness at its best! Great songs with wailing guitars and flawless back up harmonies. Led by a man in a cape the one and only Screamin' Stevie.
TN08. The Busymen “Distort All Levels” CD
Formed in 1997 the Busymen have been spellbinding audiences with their singular take on 60s punk and rock & roll. They combine beat, proto-punk, blues and feedback and you can dance to it. The band cut their teeth in Brisbanes gutter rock scene of the late 90s which included bands like Strutter, Big Bongin Baby, the Hekawis, Standing 8 Counts and the Cool Millions.The stage presence of unique vocal stylist "Boston" Bob Smith (maracas, tambourine, kung fu) is often cited as the key element to the Busymen's live reputation. Yes they are better live, but even better if they show up.

first time on CD by Brisbane’s well loved psychedelic surf punk pranksters ”The Pineapples from the dawn of time” album Shocker .Originally released in 1987 on LP now is remastered and repackaged for this digital age we live in. This group tackle the hard subjects most fear to tread; Charlie Manson, Don West and Toowoomba City. What more could you want from a listening expirience.12page booklet includes Photo’s posters and extensive liner notes depicting one australias truly unique acts. This is the only band in the world with determination to ask the question that's plagued man since the dawn of time sic..... Have You Seen the Purple Chicken.
TN06. Crackwhore self-titled CD
Bred from the bowels of Melbourne, CrackWhore deliver nice and sleazy rock n roll. and Turkeyneck are proud to release there debut 10trk platter. Sophisticated garage rock played to excess, an alternative to tight black jean motherfucker art fags. Dirty Rock with a garage punk influence, growing up tough in the school of hard knocks drawing inspiration from the Divinyls, Souxsie Soux, the Dead-Boys, the Stooges and maybe some Nancy Sinatra too. This release also includes a ball-tearing cover the Divynls "Boys In Town(Fuck you and your jet) CrackWhore have played extensively through the lowlife dives and pampered palaces, kickin’ out tunes to any scumbag that will listen… and you better damn believe it, there’s plenty of you scumbags out there!!

This is the second of the series that takes in the blood bath once known as the Turkeyneck bar and grill. this comp collects rare recordings from some of australias most endearing and notorious from the last 25 years from the Johnnys to the Leftovers and everything in between. Rupture covering X's hate city has to be one australias most brutal rock'n'roll cover ever put to record. Even the less produced tracks have an endearing quality of the last drunks at the bar begging for one more round bundy rum.
TN03 I Spit on Your Gravy St Kildas Still Alright CD
Turkeyneck Records is proud to release for the first time on Cd. The 1984 classic mini LP St Kildas Alright from these legendary St Kilda Pranksters.Re-master ed and re-packaged and includes the Eat Your Head compilation tracks and previously unreleased live tracks from the Esplanade Hotel.16 page booklet includes fanzine interviews posters cartoons and reviews from the time of release. TN02. VARIOUS Drunks Guns and Livestock in the Streets vol1 CD
Subtitled “Live at the Turkeyneck Bar & Grill 1979-2001”, this comp collects some of Australia’s most notorious punk/garage from the old school (X, Cosmic Psycho's, I Spit On Your Gravy) to the new (The Standing 8 Counts, The Dirtcatchers, The Fred Band). All live from from a dive reportedly North of St Kilda and west of Rockhampton. Extensive liner notes from a former Manager who expains how the strippers went bust when they took two dollar notes out of circulation and many other tales of violence and stupidity from the aforementioned shit hole. There are many unreleased and unavailable live gems throughout this slice of australiana.
TN01. They Might Be Vaginas "fourftfuck" 7"ep
Debut release for turkeyneck and TMBV, this four track 7" is a rude crude and stupid as can you can hope for, from the the opener Dwarf fuckin to the to the pastiche of No Eye Dear's wife-slaying william tell overture.It does not disappoint especially if high hopes are not for you . Musically its sort of like a hyped up Child Molesters mixed with a little rural Nine Pound Hammer. These guys also appeared on Swedish label Tickled Crippler's "No shit its the GG Allin and the Jabbers tribute" album doing the GG Allin classic Bored to Death. Released in 2001 with a fantastic cover by the one and only Fred Negro. This ep set a trend of lo-fi offensive punkrock'n'roll for turkeyneck to follow.
