Bio:
Hey everyone, we are the Menacing Skunks, we were formed back in 2003 as something to do by Nick and Matt, it started playing a few covers when we were bored, it carried on this way until about summer 2004, when Nick started writing songs, at this point the band started to take a more serious appraoch as it was clear that Nick especially wanted to take it further than bedroom rehersals. At this point there was a major gap in the line up, a bass player was found in the form of Robin, an old school freind, over the summer the young band practiced songs and wrote some and by the autumn had got together a set of 6 songs, they played them at their school in the November and generally recieved a good reception.
The band carried on for the next 6 months constantly practicing and by early 2005 the band played at a Tsunami benefit gig in their hometown, they went down well.
By the spring it was clear that Matt had other commitments that came before the band and so left, he was replaced with nathan, the band took a while to reform and get used to playing with their new drummer, annd by Spetember 2005 they were ready and played at the Cross Bar in Barrow. Their set lasted over 45 minutes and were well recieved by a crowd that knew nothing of them.
By late 2005 the band had secured a place on the Thunk records 'Punk Rock Radio' compliation due for release in Spring 2006
