Bio:
The new album is titled TWELVE OUNCE INSPIRATION and is out now on BURNING TREE RECORDS - www.burningtreerecor ds.net - DLP is in the studio recording their next CD titled BULLSHIT AND PRETTY WORDS with Paul Luke doing double duty as engineer and co-producer ---> OK, here's the deal... Van Nuys 1990, Chris Long/guitar (ex-Bad Samaritans, Damnation, Glue Gun and more) hooks up with Gizz "Lazlo" Navarro/vocals (ex-BadTown Boys, Electric Ferrets, UK Subs, DeRita Sisters, For Sale and more) and Steve Simpronio/bass (For Sale, Bedlam/Ritalin) - there were other people who came and went like; Luis E., Jeff Y., Jeff E., John, Paul, George (not really, but it sounded funny!), John B., Eric K., Todd G., John D., etc... - in '94 they get Ike Robison/guitar (ex-BadTown Boys, Electric Ferrets) and then add Daver Perry/drums (ex-Bad Samaritans, Foreign Object, Psychedelicatessen and more) in 2005. The whole idea is to play no-bullshit punk rock and roll. Think hard, fast and loud with a sense of humor. They've played way too many shows locally and have recorded a bunch of CDs and have toured nationally a bunch of times. Influences, as they've been told are; Motorhead, Doughboys, Leatherface, Snuff, Pegboy, Black Flag, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Poison Idea, The Beatles, The Stones, Social D., Sam Kinison and Redd Foxx. Just good-ol', out-of-control, "beer swillin' punk rock 'n' roll" kinda stuff. Interesting facts about them? Gizz, who was the original drummer in '90, diagnosed with cancer in '92 and was out of commission for 2 years. They re-grouped with Gizz on vocals in '94. They were once introduced to the stage by NBA-Star (Pistons & Lakers) and TV/Radio personality, John Salley. Gizz was shot on Halloween night '99 in Texas while on tour as DLP's singer/drummer. They've been approached by Atlantic Records... twice. They've recorded more albums than they've released. They've been sponsored by Schecter Guitars, Axis Pedal, Sabian Cymbals, Yoo-hoo Chocolate Drink, Puma Shoes/Clothing, Porn Star Clothing, Choice Snowboards plus a whole bunch of other companies but not by Budweiser - hmmmm... strange! In '06 they sold 2 songs to Snickers for a TV commercial that will start airing in spring. They all hit their 30's a long, long, long, long time ago. Steve used to have long, flowing, golden hair and so did Ike except his was curly and brown. Daver has done more things than can be said in print. And as for Chris, he lives right down the street from... well, just about everyone!! Maybe even you!! ----->www.deadlazlos place.net
