Bio:
United in the fall of 2006 this four piece began working on its independent debut release. After six months of intense collaboration the band's self-titled album was recorded at the famed Welfare line studio. The result was a collection of songs that would breath new fire into a stale and stagnant genre, ranging from sarcastic cultural commentary like the albums first track, the anthemic ( Battle Hymn) to the knockabout dirge ( House of Cards).
One hundred and thirty-seven years after its construction, Philadelphia's landmark Trocadero Theatre was the scene where Last Year's Youth would take the spotlight for its premier performance. On June 14, 2007 Last Year's Youth rocketed from the studio and onto the stage with a whirlwind set that would receive the acclaim of a packed house and lay the foundation for a growing following.
Presently the members of Last Year's Youth reside on America's east coast and continue to record and perform in the United States.
