About me:
Not much to say really, but here we go. I'm 39 and have been into punk rock since I was 10 years old which was a long long time ago. I've been married for 11 years and have been with my wife now for 22 years. We both go to punk shows together mostly when it's possible. We have two sons one 14 the other 6. I grew up listening to the UK old school 77-85 bands but steadily got into a load of American Hardcore. I also like a lot of new bands from all corners of the globe. Watching good movies makes me happy also, war, horror, thrillers, comedys, sci fi.
Punks only dead if you want it to be, there is a thriving scene out there with more bands than ever right now so you just gotta stick to your guns and make the most of it. Stay away from MTV and sellout major bands. Find out about the local DIY scene in your area and get involved, support your local punk bands by going to see them. You will have a better night out spending $5 going to see local bands or DIY shows rather than paying $20 to see some sellout band who just want your money. Make your own punk clothes etc SIT AND THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!

| cool cool... our band is organizing this event where were trying to get more girls into the scene and to start up bands cuz up around here punk rock is almost exclusivly a guy thing which i think is totally wrong! so far we got 3 bands into it and some people to start fanzines and whatever. The only only problem we are facing is the fact that the skinz (believe it or not but skinheads r still here starting fights) are not going to tolerate it. they believe that the girls should only be there to show their tits. this adds to the growing factor that there is sexism in hardcore |
