Bio:
Urban Sex Legends are quickly becoming the loudest, sexiest garage band of all time.
Though accounts of the band's origin differ greatly, most scholars contend that the USL began in early 1994 when "Funkless" Nicky Green, bouncy bastion of the high school pep band, was asked to lend his drum work to a new "grungey," anti-drug rock group. Also on board was Brady Roark, a young, ridiculously talented dreamboat, destined for fame and fortune. At Green's behest, the group was briefly called Urban Sex Legends. While not successful in a traditional sense, the pop act did spread a message of awareness to a small town Idaho, where the impact of the D.A.R.E.-core scene is still felt today.
At this point, USL history becomes somewhat convoluted. Some rock historians claim that the original lineup parted ways, with the considerably older, drug-despising front man raising a family in Pennsylvania.
Still other authorities believe that a venerable underground rock icon known simply as "&" assumed control of the band, forcing them to release a series of experimental, sexually-themed singles under the Urban Sex Legends moniker. Though saturated with synthesizers and avant-garde vocal textures, the songs bare distinct traces of the USL sound. Many of these tracks were culled for a 2003 retrospective entitled "University of Perversity," no longer in print.
USL emerged again with the more accessable effort "Fuck That Noise" in 2004. Though the album was an instant internet smash, physical copies of the sprawling three-disc epic, packaged with a genuine hit of Phil Lesh's acid, proved far beyond the budget of a neophyte act. In 2007, USL became the sexiest of the Portland Oregon punk rock scene. Hiring local bass guitar leviathan Major Gruve, the band could no longer avoid throngs of screaming, fainting girls and stalkers of all genders. After errecting www.theurbansexlegen ds.com and releasing the eponymous EP "Urban Sex Legends", available on www.cdbaby.com and iTunes, the band set about dominating the local club scene.
Leaving in their wake a trail of leather, whiskey and flying V's, Urban Sex Legends prove that sex is still dangerous, drugs are still plentiful and rock & roll is just rock & roll.
