Bio:
Rising up from the grimy punk scene that is San Gabriel Valley, comes a new force with the hope to breathe new life into a music scene plagued by lackluster and uninspiring mediocrity. Formerly known as C.A.T.H.Y (Complex Apocalyptic Theory of Hopeless Youth) the core founding members, Johan Dardon and Jose Martinez, decided to revamp the name after being inspired one gloomy Christmas morning in 2006. Embarking on a new chapter, the duo came up with the moniker, The Devil’s Rose, with the personal vendetta to create the type of substantial music they love in order to orchestrate an aural experience that clutches at the heart and ravages the soul.
Considering themselves much more composers than ordinary everyday musicians, The Devil’s Rose plunges into the torrid pit of fusing distinctly dark melodies and memorably rousing lyrics that blend effortlessly into their lighting fast hooks of burning guitar rifts and staggering drum beats. By incorporating elements of punk and metal into their own brand of apocalyptic sonic resonance, they set the stage for the rejuvenation of rock n’ roll, definitely holding their own.
