About me:
I write and play music for one reason: I get crazy when I don't. In the process of maintaining my own sanity, I hope to create something that everyone else will enjoy as well. I've tried to quit before. The last time lasted nearly four months. I sat around the house, scratched my itchy feet, and in general made a pain out of myself until I irritated my friends enough that they finally pushed me out the door one Saturday night with my Bass and a harmonica with a broken reed. I was told to call at 2 and they'd pick me up from wherever I ended up playing. "Wherever" ended up being a dive in central TX with a band I didn't know. Joe took my bass away because he plays it better than me and let me sit in on his guitar -- even though he plays it better than me. I played bass for them for several shows after that. That was several years ago. I haven't tried to quit again since then. Maybe they need to make a patch or something. My album collection mainly consists of a lot of shit I suppose II like to cover and generally do a decent job of it. My music is a reflection of my heros. There have been times when I've conciously and intentially written something I could hear Mike Ness doing or that I think Al Barr would like. And sometimes it just comes out that way by happy accident. My ambition is to someday write something that one of my favorite artists record. Maybe they'd even let me do a little cameo on the last verse. Or some of that old school harmony on the chorus that makes me love music so much. That'd be cool.
