Bio:
Formed in the wake of 1996, with an instilled obnoxious "Fuck you" attitude of 70's punk, BAD BLOOD veered away from the common MTV territory of commercial tunes, tattoos and bad haircuts, bringing a new, no - nonsense sound to the Bristol scene. The original line up of Mike Boniface (Vocals/Guitars), Jon Springer (Drums) and Nick Ellis(Bass Guitar),served their time gigging relentlessly in and around Bristol, London, Scotland and several German Punk Festivals over the next few years, releasing a 5 Track E.P. (FACES;SUMMERTIME;IM PULSE KONTROL;PREMISE;LITT LE HITLER PART 2). A slight member shake up saw the arrival of former SHOCK TREATMENT frontman Terry Povey and guitarist Darren watkins;and the release of the E.P. SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU, followed by more European dates, and the 2003 split 7" with Bristol's streetpunx VALDEZ released on German Indie label CAMPARY RECORDS. http://www.campary-r ec.de The current line up sees founder members Jon Springer (Drums) and Nick Ellis (Bass Guitars), joined by ex MAGGOT SLAYER OVERDRIVE vocalist Alan Bowen and former DRY RISER/GLOWBUZZERS guitarist David Devonold, and the release of IGNORANCE IS BLISS. Merging the new gruff sounding yet poignant hardcore vocals and good tempo, sophisticated guitar work, with the pounding ferocious drive of the drums and bass, which remain the driving heart of Bad Blood, sees the evolution of a new sound. A meld of snotty old school punk,emotive melodic rock and raging metal....Bad Blood offer an array of great hardcore sing - along songs that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth...a good hard kick in the balls Bristol stylee!!!
