This world , as well as civilization as we know it is at a crucial point.
The reasons are numerous:
wars are fought for in the interests of big businesses , to create new markets in countries where there hadn't been free markets before.
the differences between various nations and cultures have led to increasing xenophobia , and cultural ethnocentrism in the "free" world , and anger , disappointment and rage in the so called "third world"
the global economy is under huge influence by the multinational corporations which couldn't care less for the interests of the people (regardless of race , religion or nationality)
Human life has become worthless and every day we are witnesses of genocide , terrorism , exploitation , and sicknesses which are curable in the "free" world , but terminal in the "third world"
as we all know , big businesses can buy anything
and everything , including elections , laws and , if needed , death of all those who oppose such a vile , corrupted and evil state the world has found itself in.
this method of destroying the opposition to capitalism (why convince them , when you can eradicate them) has been here for generations.
And what do young people do about it ?
well write blogs and post bulletins , but is that really enough?
the young population , especially intellectuals have always been the flag bearers of change for better. sometimes it resulted in a good idea being misused for the wrong purpose (like communism) , sometimes it worked (like the democratic movements in eastern Europe)
but it always had a youthful energy because only young people were not afraid to say what they mean and mean what they say.
maybe if we spent more time doing and saying what we mean , then there would be a bit fewer problems in our lives (and to change the world , one must first change oneself right?)
so why am i writing this?
i honestly don't know
