This is an answer to a blog called "my own worst enemy" from "sunshine01", since i would like you all to take a look at it i decided to post it as a blog.
"Well.. putting things that way everyone is his own enemy, i know i am. I read all that and, don't get me wrong, i liked what i read.. i mean.. it's true you have all those fucked up problems, but at least you know you have them, and most importantly, you know what your true problems really are! and believe me when i say not many people can do that.. You say you are insecure, well i say your security is in the fact that you know your insecurities, and if you keep facing them and thinking about them your security will go strong and someday it will be bigger than your weaknesses..
About the fact that you are negative and you believe in the shit people tell you, there is an explanation for that and once you get to understand it you'll be able to get over it.
We are all humans, our mind tends to memorize in a previlaged way the most hard things we see, we hear, we smell, we feel.. since you live in a fucked up world most of that memorized information are all negative.
Imagine a person with a strong personality, some idiot tells him he smells like shit, that person don't react at that exact moment because his superficial strong self (wether it's a true strong self or a self made strong self) gives him the power not to deal at the time with the problem that came up in that exact moment.
But it was still recorded in his mind (AMR - Automatic Memory Registation, or something like that..)
A few minutes, hours, days, years later the shit that he heard will come up to his mind caused by "The Memory Trigger" or by "The Self Verification something.." (I don't know the psychological terms in english..)
So everything is recorded in our minds in "windows". the memory trigger brings us back to that window or to the problem you were facing.
When we face that window there is two things we can do:
- (momentarily) Hiding it away, leading the problem to increase itself.
- Facing it.
The problem is that when we face a problem we prefer not to deal with it at the time, which is an huge mistake! Doing it once, we will get lazy and we'll repeat the same self destructive process over and over again.
Without you even noticing it, the problems are molding you personality and you'll eventually become your problems, in your case, you start to believe in the shit you are told.
The answer: If we start to face our problems, if we fight to understand the why, the problem, the causes and effects we will overcome that problem and we'll become more prepared and confident to deal with the next one.
The Why: When a window connected to a problem comes up, if you are a person who seeks to solve your problems (you create parallel windows to the problems' ones that will balance the hole thing) a parallel window will automaticly come up, a window where you will find strentgh and balance to solve this new problem!
So, after this long ass comment, the conclusion would be that you are on a good way!
Nevermind those idiots that brings you down, they probably have more problems than you do..
Just start thinking about the why of everything, start THINKING, and don't fall into the huge mistake of psycoadaptation, where you will get used to one way of life that will lead you to collapse..
Just one more thing.. our mind is equal to our body, so it also suffers from desiases when someone harms her. If you don't start growing bases of ballance and security a "killer window" may come up, the name's harsch, it won't kill you ahah but it will have a defenitive impact in your personality, and after that, it will be way harder to solve your future problems! And this is a problem not only yours, but mine and everyone elses'!
So be carefull, believe in your true self, smile, and go face those idiots!
Tomorrow we'll see who's "manipulating" who ; )"
