Poem to sorrow
The well of inspiration has dried,
And the robin that sings it's song has died,
The sun no longer rises on the horizon beyond the sea,
Upon writing this prose to sorrow memories of a great love lost did precede,
When rose colored glasses faded to grey,
Love quietly fades away,
And becomes an apple only to be tasted by the ever-tempted eve,
As the love of the world takes it's leave,
When minds lead hearts astray,
And darkness seems it will forever stay,
When knights in shining armor disappear,
And the usual comforts are no longer near,
When rivers of words all run dry,
And lovers break down to cry,
A hero no one knows if there will ever be,
The light of the world has been stolen,
And darkness surronds me.
