Non-conformity has no meaning anymore
Non-conformity has changed to something that anyone and everyone says they are. It isn't anything anymore but a word used for people who can't get a grip on the world around them.

Why non-conformity doesn't work.
time for another one of my boring blogs. There has been something on my mind for a long time about people who are "non-conformist," myself being one.
Has anyone besides me seen that almost tries to play off as a "rebel" or "outcast," yet they have friends, and habg around "othe non-conformist." It seems that people saying they do not conform to normal ideas have now become the people that others hang around.
Of course, this isn't entirely true. There are the people out there who say that the way they dress makes people not talk to them. Have those people stopped to think that maybe they won't give themselves a chance. I go to a school where it is 90% preps; the rest being punk or goth; myself in the latter group.
I was sulking with the other "outcast" at the lunch one day, when I thought, "What the FUCK am I doing just sitting here, living a miserable life?! Fuck this, I'm going to make some friends I can hang out with on the weekends and go to concerts with and other shit, no matter who they are."
I stood up and walked over to a different table, that of the super-preps, as I call them. there parents pay for everything from their cell-phone bill, to their nice new cars. Of course they looked at me like I was weird at first, but soon a conversation popped up that I knew I could put my words in and people wouldn't laugh or say anything. Once I realized that, I started to make friends with people from the preps, wiggers, nerds; really anyone that I wanted to talk to.
Before, my life was just alot of bull-shit of my life being terrible because of past things, nights spent cutting myself and suicide attempts. Now that I have friends who actually care, instead of the losers who loved to see me depressed-who, I still congregate with; I don't have to be angry at the "system" and all of that type of shit.
In case you are wondering, I still put myself as a gothic person, I still go to concerts of bands that I love, and don't act a different way around my different friends. I still hate white people who try to act black though, that really pisses me off.

Music shouldn't be the reason for divide in the american youth.
One of the problems in America today is that people cannot open there eyes to see that no matter what type of music you listen to, you are stil a living breathing human being. I have the same feelings as the little girl siitng beside you and the 80-year old grandfather that you put in a nursing home. If punk rock or hard music keeps you or I away from someone that istens to rap or R&B, then we must be simple-minded beings; no worse then the dog that licks from the toilet.
If something makes someone hate another because their different; isn't that the same as before civil rights for black people? If we can't get along with the people around us, then how are we supposed to stop our troubles worldwide?
All i am trying to do is get people to stop looking at what you look like or whatever, and talk to those people that aren't so popular in your circle.
