So yeah, really good news...
Alright, last night was our first show and it was kickass! I dont know exactly how many people showed up but we had Lloyd's basement as packed as we could get it. Everybody was extremely stoked after we played and hopefully the show got us a lot of really good publicity. Were hoping to start getting invited to play at parties and smaller shows now but well see... Basically, we played, we kicked ass, people dig our music. I'm getting all the pictures from the show off my friend Sarah's camera on Tuesday, so I'll let you know when they're up.
In other news were planning on recording this upcoming weekend and getting at least three songs done so we can get more stuff up. Also, Lloyd and I went to the music store today and picked out the drum set he is going to buy. It's a Tama StarClassic and its black with a red sparkle fade. It's by far the sickest drum set I've ever seen and it's our colors and everything. He's getting it tomorrow because there is a huge president's day sale so yeah. We'll probably post up some pics of the new kit next weekend. We are also hoping to start work on logo and T-shirt stuff, it's nothing official yet but I'll keep you posted as it goes down. Weekend update and all that
Ok, so not that anybody reads this, but we didn't record any songs like I said we would in the last post. Thats because we worked through and finished our entire setlist for Saturday night. All of that is obviously taking a priority right now because we need to be ready for the show so yeah. We actually plan (I promise this time) on recording next weekend and also spending a lot more time writing songs to finish our album. We still have a logo to work on and expect some merch by the next show. Still no update on Lloyd's drum situation yet, I just know he doesn't have a new set yet. I'm also planning on buying a Fender Standard Telecaster in about two months, so say goodbye to the Crossroads Strat and the LTD. Thats about all I got now, I'll update you again after Thursday's practice. Peace

A bit of show info/ other junk
Alright, so if you didn't notice, we finally have our first gig. Yeah, it's at Lloyd's house so were obviously hosting it, but who cares? Were playing music for about 45 people, any gig is a good gig. We also want you to know that no show is too small for us so if you're having a party or want us to come play in you backyard or basement or whatever, were down. Just shoot us an email or comment. Other than that we got a pretty heavy (for us) practice schedule for the next two weeks. We got a cover practice on Thursday this week. Saturday night we have a logo design session and were going to be planning some Lloydstock (were giving it a new name) stuff. And Sunday is a recording session of the songs we have that are our originals. Next Thursday we have a full runthrough of the setlist and were gonna tighten up the last screws on the songs and then Saturday before the show were going to have a light last runthrough before we play. So thats pretty much what were going to be up to. And I promise that we'll have recordings from Sunday this time.
In instrument news I think Lloyd has made a decision on what drum set he wants and will hopefully have it by Sunday, but no guarantees on that. Yesterday I dropped my LTD off at the shop to get the electronics fixed (finally) so you'll see me playing that instead of the Clapton Strat. I'm going to play the LTD again because I worry WAY too much about fucking the Strat up because technically it's not even mine, it's my Dads. But I'm looking at a Strat of my own and I'm saving up for it now and I'll probably have it in 2 more months or so. Thats all I got for now, check back Thursday for more news. Peace.

News from this weekend
Ok, so we didn't record this weekend, but we did get a crazy amount of stuff done. So friday night we played sort of a mini show for everybody at Lloyd's house. We played about 6 or 7 songs and everybody was really into it. We didn't have Steve there but we just jammed and played the songs we already have down. After partying it up for Lloyd's 18th, we went to Guitar Center on Saturday morning and checked out drum sets because Lloyd is getting a new set. I don't know the status on what he is getting yet but I'll let you know when I do.
So Saturday's practice was the most productive one we've had so far. We practiced for about 4 hours straight and got almost half of our setlist down. Were gonna keep what we have right now for the basement party in two weeks, but we're gonna learn a few more covers and get the rest of the songs we wrote to be sounding really good. We are hoping to practice at my house next weekend so we can get our stuff recorded. I'll keep you updated on everything thats going on as soon as I know, but thats about all I got for now. Peace.

Happy birthday Lloyd!!
Yo, its Lloyd's birthday today. Dude is 18 now and hes pretty excited because he can buy porn now. Haha, but anyway were partying tonight and having a recording sesh tomorrow. Setlist is now one song shy from a full gig. Get stoked. Check back Sunday for songs!
