Let's See What It's Really Made Of - Defining The Undefinable
Punk - just what exactly does this word mean? Is it a fashion statement? Music? Is it different now to what it was then? Can anyone really answer these questions?
Well, luckily for you guys, you don't have to. Someone else is. And that someone is James Bradshaw. With the help of writers, musicians, artists and some special guests, he is aiming to redefine what punk means to the masses. A two-week show is being held at The Ada Street Gallery in London in July and anyone willing to come down is invited.
Then after the two weeks is up, the entire gig will be packed up and shipped over to Hamburg, Germany to continue the party.
Not only is there this two-week show dedicated to a most remarkable movement, there is also a book. It will be launched at the Gallery on 14th July and is filled with details of all artists and musicians involved as well as pieces wrote by writers on what they think punk is.
So if you happen to be in London during July and fancy seeing what punk is all about, take a trip down to The Ada Street Gallery at Ada Street, London, England and take a look around.
Or if you happen to be in Germany at the beginning of August then drive down to Rota Flora, Hamburg, Germany and continue the party there.
I will include more specific dates nearer the time but look out for any advertising on this event you see.
And how do I know all this? Because I have wrote a little something for the book.
See you all!
