my rant...
If its not your taste its not your taste,
but why shoot down other peoples likes or dislikes in music?
yeah, most bands people are aware of these days are complete "sell outs",
in the sense they make music for pure profit..
but if thats what people want to listen to, fine! let them be mindless drones, following the latest fads in "music" its their choice...
personally, if im going to listen to music, i want it to be from someone REAL, who writes and performs for the pure fact that they love their art, and their fans...
There are artists out there that perform
because its what they love to do, not because they make so much a show... and even if they are somewhat popular by some standards, have had to struggle to get where they are...
Struggling musicians!!!
see many people giving them a listen? no..
because they are too preoccupied by the almighty dollar to realise a good song, a good album, or even demo, that they have the oppertunity to give a chance.....
so next time your flipping through your CDs, vinyl, or Mp3 player... take a look at what your really listening to...
and ask yourself the Q... "Am i listening to this because its what i like, or am i listening to it because its whats 'cool'"...
