American socialism and more political ranting!
During his campaign, John Mc Cain and other right wingers condemned Socialism (which is adopted by plenty of other industrialized western countries like Canada, England) and tried scaring people into thinking it's a move toward communism, whenever Obama and other liberals talked about moving toward socialism as a way to provide free, basic healthcare, free college tuition and other social welfare-- which we shouldve had a long fucking time ago, and which Reagan took the funding out of.
It's funny, The right-wing morons never say anything when the government is planning to steal another several hundred billion dollars from the **tax payers** to save a corporation from bankruptcy (a perfect example of the middle and lower classes having to pay the consequences for the actions of the upper class--we dont get anything out of this). This is basic, blatant socialism!! Yet, the right wingers start blasting on liberals whenever they talk about putting more money into public welfare!!

Tax the fucking rich people!!
if this whole economic crisis is real and isnt just media sensationalism at its finest, brought about by corporate or government thugs, then why wont the government tax the rich (rich as in--those who make over $100,000/year)? Maybe it's because of Reagan's economic policy, which, back in the 80's, exempted the upper class from paying any taxes at all! Now, we are seeing the consequences of that failed policy. Retiring corporate CEOs take with them tens of billions of dollars. The rich have been*legally* hoarding all that money for the past 30 years, while taxes have been constantly raised on the struggling middle and lower classes, all due to "Reaganomics", or the trickle-down theory. We all see now that it's complete bullshit. And the common folks are paying the price.
We especially see this down here in southern California, where Governor Schwarzenneger is raising the sales tax up from 8.25% to about 9.75%, then to 10.25% a year after that! He says this is necessary to pay for improvements to infrastructure and to help us out of the "budget crisis", yet there is absolutely no mention of taxing the upper class! Cali is already difficult and expensive as fuck to live in, and the governer's plan isnt gonna make things better
